Do I need to install any hardware?

No. WelcomeDesk runs in the browser, so any tablet, laptop or spare screen can become a check-in kiosk. Open the live kiosk link, prop the device at your door and you are ready for visitors.

What happens when the free trial ends?

Your 14-day trial includes full Business-tier access with no credit card required. When it ends you simply pick the plan that fits — your data and settings stay exactly as you left them.

How are hosts notified when a guest arrives?

As soon as a visitor completes check-in, their host is notified with the visitor's name, company and badge number. Every plan notifies by email. SMS, Slack and Teams notifications are included in Business and available on Starter via the Communications add-on. Pre-registered guests can also be welcomed before they even arrive.

Can I manage more than one office?

Yes. Starter covers 3 locations and Business covers up to 15, each with its own kiosks, branding, capacity limits and visitor log — all from a single account. Need more? The Capacity pack add-on adds 5 locations, 10 kiosks and 165 staff at a time and stacks, so you scale without switching plans.

Is visitor data kept securely?

Every check-in is recorded in a tamper-evident audit log, watchlist screening runs before any badge is issued, and NDA or safety-policy acceptance is stored against each visit for compliance.

Can WelcomeDesk connect to our other systems?

The Business plan includes a REST API and outbound webhooks for visits, locations and vendors. On Starter you can add both with the Developer pack add-on. Google Calendar and Outlook can be connected to automatically pre-register meeting attendees as visitors.
