Make the Kiosk Yours: Photo Capture, Logo Upload and Custom Visitor Types

A check-in kiosk is the first thing a guest sees and a core part of your security record. This release makes it both more yours and more useful.

Photo capture at check-in

WelcomeDesk used to prompt for a photo; now it takes one. The kiosk can capture a visitor's photo straight from the tablet's camera as they sign in. The guest sees a clear preview, and anyone who'd rather not can skip it — you stay in control of whether it's required.

The photo is stored against the visit record, so a receptionist confirming an arrival, or a security review weeks later, can put a face to the name. It works on the form-based kiosk and the live kiosk alike.

Your logo on the door

The kiosk should look like your front desk, not ours. Upload your company logo under Settings → Logo and it appears on both the form and live kiosk screens. It's a small thing that makes check-in feel like a natural part of your reception, not a third-party tool bolted on.

Visitor types that match your site

"Visitor" is rarely the whole story. A construction site signs in subcontractors and delivery drivers; a school signs in parents and peripatetic staff; an office signs in interviewees, clients and auditors. Each deserves its own flow.

You can now define your own visitor types from Settings — name them, and decide which prompts apply to each. The kiosk reads your list, so guests pick the category that genuinely fits and you get cleaner data in every report.

Set it up in minutes

• Settings → Logo — upload or remove your kiosk logo.
• Settings → Visitor types — add, rename and configure the categories your site uses.
• Photo capture is available on supported kiosks; make it optional or required to fit your policy.

Together these turn a generic sign-in screen into something that looks and behaves like it was built for your building.
